Set in our grounds, The Summer House is a unique, charming hidden gem opening its doors to you for the first time. Following the winding path past the architectural plants and Koi ponds of our Japanese garden, The Summer House is a character cottage nestled in a secluded spot. Entering the property, the house opens up to a vaulted ceiling and glass elevation leading on to a large balcony that wraps around the house.
From the balcony, you can gaze over the oak and pine tree-top canopy to view the glistening water of Poole Harbour beyond. The open-plan living space is bright and provides guests with ample space to unwind and host if they wish. Each bedroom offers a calming, sanctuary-like space for guests to enjoy – with the master benefiting from an en-suite bathroom also. Immerse yourself in our captivating gardens during your stay with unlimited access during opening hours or enjoy a bite for breakfast and lunch in our restaurant. In the evenings, Mare Luna, our authentic pizzeria serves delicious wood fired pizzas in our stunning Italian courtyard. On a warm summer evening, sitting here sipping an Aperol Spritz and enjoying the wonderful Mediterranean aromas, you can easy imagine you are in Italy itself! Compton Acres offers a 2 gift shops, a plant centre and an Italian pantry so there’s plenty of opportunity to browse and purchase gifts and supplies.
Guests can enjoy a round of golf at Parkstone Golf Club – one of the best-known and finest courses on the South Coast. Nearby, you have the surrounding areas of Sandbanks, Canford Cliffs village, Lilliput and Westbourne where there are ample shops, restaurants and cafes to explore. Being right on the coast you are a short walk from our award-winning blue flag beaches where you can enjoy the sun, sea and many water sports.
